Frequently Asked Questions
Recycling and Proper Disposal
GC&B is an Environmental Education Organization; however, we no longer operate a recycling facility. Please visit our Recycling Directory. It offers an extensive list of locations that accept a wide variety of materials – including glass. If the materials cannot be recycled, it provides instructions on how to properly dispose of them.
YES! GC&B offers paint collection during four annual events. Paint cans must contain 25% wet paint to be recycled. For cans with less than 25%, put kitty litter or other absorbent materials in the can and once solidified, double bag them and place in your garbage cart. Dried up paint cans can be properly disposed by double-bagging and placing them in your curbside trash cart for collection. For additional information and other locations to drop off paint year-round, visit: https://www.gwinnettcb.org/recycling-center-material/paint/
There are several locations in Gwinnett County to recycle your glass. To find a location near you, visit: https://www.gwinnettcb.org/recycling-center-material/glass-bottles-and-jars/
