All landfills in Gwinnett County are privately owned and charge a fee for materials taken to their facility. If you are unsure that the landfill will accept your items, call the numbers provided.

Trash Landfills

These landfills generally accept regular household trash and bulky household items.

Republic: Oak Grove Landfill

Republic: Richland Creek Landfill

Does not accept: tires, batteries, wet paint, computers

Construction & Demolition Landfills

These landfills are the only locations that will accept materials such as asphalt, concrete, asbestos, brick, and other materials from home repairs.

Yard Waste Landfills

These landfills generally accept yard waste such as trees, stumps, limbs, dirt, leaves, and grass. These landfills do not accept other materials if they are not also listed above.

Transfer Stations

Transfer stations accept a variety of materials at one location, and then transfers them to a landfill. Fees are slightly higher for this convenience.
