Brenda McDaniel

Environmental Educator

Brenda is employed by Gwinnett County Public Schools and is a Teacher On Special Assignment (TOSA) loaned to Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful to oversee the education and outreach as the Green & Healthy Schools Coordinator for our county. With more than 25 years of experience as an educator in Gwinnett County, she provides a variety of services to more than 80 Green Schools. Brenda’s expertise has guided schools to receive recognition, locally as well as nationally regarding environmental initiatives. She has successfully helped the school district save budget funds for operational changes regarding energy and water conservation practices, as well as food reduction and food recovery efforts. With a master’s degree in Education, she utilizes her community outreach skills to connect schools with experts in the business, governmental, and nonprofit sectors to mentor students and teachers as part of the school district’s priority of providing STEM (Science Technology Engineering, Math) education and career readiness.

The ability to have every piece of litter picked up instantly with the push of a button (and….the ability to make every littered item “stick” to the person who threw it.)
