Event Details
Created in 2000, Great Days of Service is recognized as one of the largest volunteer days of service in the United States. Held annually in October, this event mobilizes individuals, corporations, churches, schools, civic organizations, and communities in meaningful volunteer service to address some of Gwinnett’s most crucial needs. Projects vary each year depending upon the need.
Gwinnett Serves, powered by Volunteer Gwinnett, is now accepting volunteers for its annual Gwinnett Great Days of Service
Please join hundreds of other Gwinnett Volunteers on October 17-19 by hosting your own Storm Drain Marking event!
Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful and the Gwinnett Water Resources run a program to help stop pollution from entering our rivers and streams. Things like oil, pet waste, and trash can wash into storm drains and pollute our water. Volunteers place special markers on storm drains that say “No Dumping – Only Rain in the Drain”. You’ll also hand out educational flyers educating your fellow community members!
To register your site, please follow the link below and fill out this form: https://gwinnettcb.org/programs/stormwater-protectors/
This is a Self-Led volunteer event, meaning no staff will be present at the event. Equipment, materials, and waivers will be provided, but need to be scheduled out and picked up before the event date.
All Gwinnett County volunteers are required to agree and complete the WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE form. Please complete and send the form below to the Project/Event Organizer via email or have your waiver signed and ready to be turned in at the volunteer event. WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE – This event does not qualify for court mandated community service hours.
