Event Details
Created in 2000, Great Days of Service is recognized as one of the largest volunteer days of service in the United States. Held annually in October, this event mobilizes individuals, corporations, churches, schools, civic organizations, and communities in meaningful volunteer service to address some of Gwinnett’s most crucial needs. Projects vary each year depending upon the need.
Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful is partnering with Gwinnett Department of Water Resources, Gwinnett Place CID and the Georgia Piedmont Land Trust, offering two days to serve make these spaces cleaner, free of litter and debris. This activity will give volunteers the chance to get dirty, protecting streams and wetlands in their local environment.
Volunteers will be collecting trash throughout the wetlands. They should expect to be outdoors the entire workday, and off-trail in the woods. Clothing should be closed-toe shoes or hiking boots, preferably muck boots. Long pants, long sleeved shirt, and hat are recommended. Also, bring water, a snack, and bug spray.
Volunteers will receive a 2024 Great Days of Service t-shirt, while supplies last.
All Gwinnett County volunteers are required to agree and complete the WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE form. Please complete and send the form below to the Project/Event Organizer via email or have your waiver signed and ready to be turned in at the volunteer event.
